This logo was the finalist in a series of rounds that would become the new identity of Ziosk. Three designers including myself were assigned to this project.
The logo is a redesign. The CEO of Ziosk thought the original logo looked too much like another brand and thus the new Ziosk brand was born. It was decided that the logo would be two-fold: have a stand-alone icon (or Z-Tile) and typography lock-up. There were countless rounds during a three month process before this design was chosen.
